The UNCG Focus on Piano Literature is a biennial symposium offering an intensive experience of a topic from the keyboard repertoire.  In 2014 we celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of the 18th century's most famous Bach, Carl Philipp Emanuel, while also acknowledging the contributions of his three composer siblings.  Performances of solo and chamber music, lectures, open discussions, a master class, and similar events will fill the two-and-a-half day program.  The faculty of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro will be joined by guest presenters Jacques Ogg, Christoph Wolff, and David Schulenberg as we seek a greater understanding of and delectation in the music of the uniquely productive Brothers Bach.
