Near the end of the 16th century, the Spanish musical scene was flourishing. Composers like Lobo, Victoria, and Guerrero filled their work with the quintessential mysticism that are the defining characteristics of the Iberian Renaissance. The Tallis Scholars perform a lavish six-voice mass by Alonso Lobo along with the heartrending Lamentations by Victoria.
