The Play of Daniel, a Medieval drama set to music, was written by students at the Cathedral School at Beauvais to celebrate the Feast of Fools held during the season between Christmas and Epiphany. To celebrate its 75th anniversary year, the Cloisters in NYC will reprise the critically acclaimed 2008 production, directed by Drew Minter and Mary Anne Ballard. The performance combines chanted drama, processions, and spirited music on recorders, lutes, percussion etc. The story of Daniel in the lion's den features angels, lions, swordplay, satraps and more in a lively, family-friendly production. The Funtaduena chapel at the Cloisters is the perfect setting.
