Incomparable viola da gambist Jordi Savall and his instrumental ensemble Hespèrion XXI pay homage to Miguel de Cervantes, the great Spanish author whose vivid descriptions of music both ancient and contemporary evoked peace and joy, melancholy and sadness, beauty and passion.
