Explore the secular music traditions of Italy in the 17th century. Revel in the ubiquitous ground bass lines of the time, weep with love songs by Strozzi and Luzzaschi, and delight in the quirks and surprises of canzonas by Frescobaldi and toccatas by Rossi.
