A Weekend Celebration of Recorder and Harpsichord features a Friday evening concert of Baroque Music, with Gwyn Roberts, recorder and Atsuko Watanabe, harpsichord. Gwyn Roberts is a renowned soloist and founding co-director of the Philadelphia baroque orchestra, Tempesta di Mare. This is a rare opportunity for the Washington DC early music audience to hear this "world-class virtuouso" (American Record Guide) in solo performance.  Atsuko Watanabe is the founder and director of the early music ensembles Concerto Pavane  and Furula, of Tokyo, Japan, and has performed at the Washington Early Music Festival and the Odeon Chamber Music series in the Washington area.

The Celebration concludes with a master class on Saturday June 8.  Both events take place at St. George's Episcopal Church in Arlington, VA, conveniently located at the Virginia Square stop on Metro's Orange line.  For additional information and tickets visit capitolearlymusic.org/concerts.html.
