Enjoy the best of international performers of Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque music in the medieval city of Galway on the West Coast of Ireland. The title of this year's festival is Sensual - a multisensory musical experience. Music has always appealed to more senses than just hearing. Sight – music by candle light, in a church or castle, musicians costumed.. Smell – church incense, a feast cooking, the country-side or a tavern. Taste - musicians at a feast, bawdy songs over a tankard of ale. Each concert of this year’s festival brings an added dimension to the audience’s experience of the music. Whether it is the venue, a concert by candle light, audacious costumes and staging or a historically informed costumed re-creation of early performance., this year’s concerts are sensual!
