Vibrantly led by recorder virtuoso Matthias Maute, this energetic ensemble brings its singular style to an innovative program of music from Uhrovska zbierka, a collection from the country now known as Slovakia. Capturing the spirit of the times with historical replicas of gypsy instruments, this lively program features music by Ortiz, Schmelzer, Uccellini, Salamone Rossi, and Vivaldi, all of whom were inspired by the great folk traditions of the nomadic gypsies. Free parking included; free pre-concert talk at 6:30pm.
