The members of The Early Interval are Ron Cook, director, Jim Bates, Janice Cook, Tamara Seckel, Sean Ferguson and Lyz Liddell. The Early Interval will be joined for this special program by sopranos Margaret Wells and Katherine Wolfe.

The Early Interval’s spring concert will explore the colorful vocal and instrumental music that was composed and performed in 13th-century Spain. The program will include the music of troubadours that served at the court of Alfonso X ; motets and other music composed for religious services and celebrations; a sampling of the Cantigas de Santa Maria collected by Alfonso X; music from the Codex de Las Huelgas; the music of Martin Codax; and Moorish music performed in Spain in the 13th century.
