"The Flemish Connection"The Early Interval will perform vocal and instrumental music by composers who were born or worked in Flanders. For three centuries, beginning in the 14th century, Flemish composers dominated the composition of music in a large portion of Europe. The concert will feature medieval and Renaissance music composed and published by Flemish musicians who worked in greatly varied musical genres and national styles, including Ciconia, DuFay, Alexander Agricola, Orbrecht, Clemens non Papa, Isaac, Arcadelt, Phalese and Susato.
