Personal Summary / Bio
Ensemble 1729 is a dynamic new chamber group which focuses on the fine execution of baroque and galant music on period instruments. Mark Edwards, harpsichord and organ, Estelí Gomez, soprano, Kate Bennett Haynes, baroque cello, Vincent Lauzer, recorder, Sallynee Amawat, violin, and Joanna Marsden, traverso, joined forces in 2009 while studying at McGill University’s Schulich School of Music in Montréal. Since this time, Ensemble 1729 has performed together in Canada, the United States, and Europe.
