Glenn KnicKrehm is the president of a non-profit organization formed to design, build, and operate a world-class performing and cinematic arts center in Cambridge, Massachusetts. As an enthusiastic and longtime supporter of early music, cinema, opera, and theater, Mr. KnicKrehm serves on the Boards of Directors of the American Repertory Theatre, on the Inter-Society Committee for the Enhancement of Motion Picture Presentation, and on the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers Cinema Projection Committee. He is a member of the Boston Athenaeum, International Cinema Technology Association, the British Kinematograph Sound and Television Society, the Association of Moving Image Archivists, Boston Audio Society, Early Music America, Acoustical Society of America, American Historical Association, American Theatre Organ Society, Theatre Historical Society of America, United States Institute for Theatre Technology, American Musicological Society, Historic New England, Los Angeles Conservancy, and Mensa. In addition, he has served on the New England Council's Task Force on Culture and the New England Economy, on the Visiting Committee for Musical Instruments at Boston's Museum of Fine Arts, and as a director of Il Bisonte International School of Graphic Art in Italy, and the Westfield Center for the Advancement of Keyboard Studies.
Mr. KnicKrehm holds a B.S. in Engineering and a MBA from Columbia University. He also holds a B.A. in Physics from Occidental College and has completed the creative fiction-writing program at UCLA, with emphasis on the novel. He has taught entrepreneurial studies at UCLA's Graduate School of Management and at Columbia University's Business School. Other interests include competing nationally in ballroom dance. In 1983, Mr. KnicKrehm co-founded the Cambridge-based Bay Resource Corporation, an investment and management firm, where he served as president. Prior to this, he spent ten years with the Boston Consulting Group, a leading general management consulting firm widely regarded as the global leader in business strategy. A native of California, Mr. KnicKrehm has lived in the Boston area since 1973.
