Liaison Baroque Ensemble

Liaison Liaison is a dynamic and vibrant early-music ensemble based in San Francisco, California. In addition to playing in concert halls, Liaison hopes to bring historically-informed performances, or H.I.P. as it is known, to a wider range of audiences in non-traditional venues while maintaining the highest musical standards. The members of Liaison are all active in the early-music community as soloists, orchestral musicians, and/or teachers. Liaison’s group name was inspired by the members’ pursuit of a collaborative, cooperative approach to ensemble music-making as well the importance of the relationship between performer and audience. In a phrase, our mission is to make H.I.P. hip. Performers at the EMA Young Performers Festival will be Juliana Urban (Soprano), Danielle Reutter-Harrah (Mezzo-soprano), Hallie Pridham (Gamba), and Susie Fong (Harpsichord).

"As recents graduates of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, we are thrilled by the opportunity to perform in the Young Performers Festival. Early Music America has fostered such a healthy community for lovers of historically informed performance, and the encouragement towards young and emerging performers bolsters the sustainability of HIP and creates more than just an era, it creates a culture." Click to view Liaison's web site.
