“Music For An Abbey” will feature choral music that spans four centuries of sacred music history. The one unifying factor is that all the music presented demands a large space with an excellent acoustic. For this reason the Master Chorus has selected the Mount Angel Abbey as the venue for this concert.

Move over Mozart! Bach was way ahead of his time in recognizing the amazing benefits of classical music, especially when combined with coffee. Zimmerman’s Coffeehouse, not a church or recital hall, was the site of Bach’s own chamber music series in Leipzig almost three hundred years ago. Pre-concert lecture at 7:15pm.
