Move over Mozart! Bach was way ahead of his time in recognizing the
amazing benefits of classical music, especially when combined with
coffee. Zimmerman’s Coffeehouse, not a church or recital hall, was the
site of Bach’s own chamber music series in Leipzig almost three hundred
years ago. Pre-concert lecture at 7:15pm.

End: 4:00 pm
“Music For An Abbey” will feature choral music that spans four centuries of sacred music history. The one unifying factor is that all the music presented demands a large space with an excellent acoustic. For this reason the Master Chorus has selected the Mount Angel Abbey as the venue for this concert.
